In God We Trust?

 

America is a country that was founded on God in 1776 A.D.  America was made up of people who followed the laws of the Bible as given in the 10 Commandments.  The government they put in place was a government that was “by the People, of the People, and for the People” as spelled out in two documents.  These two documents were a declaration of rights, rights given by man and God given rights unalienable to man.  The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States are directly bonded to God’s Law as given in the Bible.

 

In the Book of Romans Chapter 13 one can comprehend God given legitimacy to America.  The “duties for rulers” are set forth by the following words in verse 1, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.  For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God”.

 

Verse 1 means that rulers have legitimate power only if those rulers are subject to God and His Law.  In so doing God gives legitimacy to those rulers. 

 

To the anti-God, Satan, America became an important target.  Satan has had some time to work against America and presently has made significant progress.    

 

America is well approaching a state of illegitimacy as exhibited by its increasing loss of virtue and increasing embracement of evil.  America’s morality is moving away from God and being replaced by worldly beliefs.  Wealth and influence is becoming its opium.  Some Americans are coming to believe that they themselves absent of God and by their own accord can be legitimate keepers of the Constitution.

 

Evidence, such as removal of the 10 Commandants from public places, removal of prayer from public schools, and the removal of crosses from public places substantiates the removal of God from America.  Embracement of God forbidden acts such as, homosexuality, murder, and acceptance of heathens such as Muslim and Hindu into American society demonstrate loss of virtue.

 

Greed, lust, envy, all well known attributes of man, are increasingly propelling the American government.  The Constitution took into consideration the weaknesses of man as evidenced by the system of “checks and balances” mandated by it.  It was, however, only a matter of time before that system would be corrupted because the soul of man is weak. 

 

The authors of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were aware of the weakness of man and mandated recourse to be used as a last resort.  That recourse is found in the Declaration of Independence as follows:

 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness…

 

The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution provides the means to abolish the government should that government resist.  This Amendment gives all Americans the right to keep and carry weapons.  Currently this right is under attack by those that would take away the legitimacy of America.

 

Should the effort to erase God from the American government and society succeed the American government will become illegitimate.  A state of open conflict will exist between the people who uphold a constitutionally legitimate government and those who have corrupted it.

 

As written in the Book of Romans chapter 13 verses 2: Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

 

Verse 2 makes it clear that anyone who disobeys or works against a legitimate ruler is doing the same against God.  However when a ruler is no longer with God that ruler is no longer legitimate.  This verse along with verse 1 has been used by those of Satan to mean obedience to any ruler is mandated and should not be resisted.  Nothing could be farther from the fact.

 

Acts Chapter 5 verses 29 is written as follows: Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, “We ought to obey God rather than men”. This verse clearly demonstrates that God’s Law is supreme above man’s law.
